The UK retailer Clove offers for pre-orders Galaxy Gear in a separate deal
Many users are eagerly anticipating the launching of Samsung Galaxy Gear. The new smartwatch is the first wearable high-end device introduced by the manufactures. As a famous saying reads “Every beginning is difficult” so the challenges before Galaxy Gear to satisfy users’ expectations are numerous. One of the most discussed issues about the smartphone is its limited capability. At this moment, Galaxy Gear is able to pair up only with the newly released phablet Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Things might change in future, but for now, if you want to use the most of your smartwatch, you need to use it together with the Galaxy Note 3. This is the reason why many retailers offer for sells the Galaxy Gear and the phablet together in a deal. There are also options to buy the phablet separately from the smartwatch.
Very few companies offer Galaxy Gear in a separate deal. The UK retailer Clove is one of those exceptions. Since Monday 9th of Sept, the company has listed for pre-orders the smartwatch in six different color versions – Oatmeal Beige, Lime Green, Wile Orange, Mocha Grey and Jet Black and Rose Gold.
The abundance of colors is only one of the surprises that Clove keeps for its customers. The price of Galaxy Gear announced by the retailer is £282 which is slightly lower than the official price for UK, £299. No further information about the release date has been revealed. The expectations point the date 25th of September as the most probable launch date for the wearable device.
To sum up for those of you who need a reminder for the specs of the Galaxy Gear – it boasts a 1.63-inches Super AMOLED display. The smartwatch is equipped with 1.9MP camera that has the ability to capture video with resolution of 1080p. Its excellent performance is the result of Exynoss CPU clocked at 800MHz and 512RAM. Galaxy Gear is provided with 4GB built-in memory and support for Bluetooth and NFC to connect with the other Samsung device (Galaxy Note 3 only, for now). The new smartwatch features a special selection of health related apps and capabilities.
