New Asus PadFone Infinity appeared in benchmarks
Do you remember the Asus PadFone Infinity? This is not an ordinary Android device. It is a powerful LTE smartphone with a 5 inch HD display that can fully power a 10.1 inch tablet module from its own operating system. Asus needed much time to materialize the idea, but due to the product uniqueness the company has managed to extend the product life cycle and enjoy some decent sales.
Today, the successor to the Asus PadFone has appeared on NCC website, named as T004, so we believe the new model will be announced within a couple of months. To make the news even more credible, the future phone/tablet was spotted on the AnTuTu benchmark list. Listed as Asus PadFone Infinity A86, the model is said to have a 1080p display, a Snapdragon 800 processor and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Hopefully, we will see the new upgraded version of the Asus PadFone Infinity soon. All we know at this point is that the processor will be upgraded from Snapdragon 600 to 800. The display will remain with the same HD 1080p resolution. Let’s recap the other specs of the current Infinity model. The phone is made of a single piece of aluminum; it has a 5 inch display with super high pixel density of 441 ppi. The PadFone has 2 GB of RAM plus 32 or 64 GB of internal storage. It has a 2400 mAh battery, 13 MP camera with f2.0 aperture and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. When it was launched, the Asus PadFone Infinity was priced around £700 off contract.
Asus is rumored to develop a couple of new devices. There will be a new super slim tablet and a new smartphone. All these products could be connected with the company’s plans for an US expansion.
