Samsung has officially introduced the dual SIM version of its latest creature Galaxy S4 for the Chinese market. I9502 Galaxy S4 will have almost the same characteristics as the basic model – I9500. Galaxy S4 I9502 will be 2 grams heavier because of the additional SIM slot. Since LTE is missing, the phone will face difficulties in markets where LTE is a necessity. Like I9500, the dual SIM version is powered by Exynos 5 Octa processor with the big LITTLE arm architecture. There is a hybrid 1.6 GHz quad-core Cortex-A15 and 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7. The display is 5- inch 1080p super AMOLED – the same found on the international variant of the device. It has also a 13- megapixel main camera. I9502 is running Android 4.2 with TouchWiz magic.
The dual SIM S4 has been introduced only in China. At the moment it is not clear if Samsung will launch the device somewhere else, but we know that the dual- SIM devices are becoming extremely popular especially in the emerging markets in Asia. The price is currently unknown, but we expect price level similar to the single SIM version, unlike the most dual-SIM devices in the low- end market. Let’s remind you that there is another S4 version for the Chinese market – I9508. It has a Snapdragon 600 processor with a single SIM slot. Another version in on the way – a water resistant S4, but it still needs to be confirmed officially.
