Xperia SL released by Sony
With all the noise about and around the release of Apple’s iPhone5, the announcement of Sony’s Xerpia SL seemed somewhat quiet.
Perhaps the reason why there’s not much fanfare around this new device is that Sony does not want to interfere with sales of its just-announced Xperia T,V and J at IFA.
The device however deserves admiration – a dual-core Scropion CPU clocked at 1.7GHz, a 12 MP camera capable of 1080p recording, a 1.3MP front-facing camera capable of 720p video, 32 GB of storage and 1 GB of RAM; it comes with Android ICS out of box and able to handle future Jelly Bean upgrade with ease.
The device is already available in the States online for $523, while ATGSM offers it for $499. In Europe, getgoods.de and hoh.de each have it for €599.
