Xiaomi Mi3 goes back on sale after being sold out in 86 seconds last week
Last week, Xiaomi sold 100 000 units of its flagship device Mi3 for just 86 seconds. Announced in September, the Xiaomi Mi3 attracted so many people with its price and characteristics that it was sold out almost immediately. Selling 100k units for less than 90 seconds is a really impressive achievement, even on the vast Chinese market. The device promises to be a huge success for the company and is now available again on the official Xiaomi website.
Xiaomi Mi3 impresses with its features. It has been called: “fastest phone from Xiaomi”. The Mi3 has a quad-core Tegra 4 processor, a 5-inch full HD screen and a price tag of just $327. According to the CEO Lei Jun, this smartphone has the highest capacity / price ratio from all other smarpthones on the market. It has a super fast 2.2 GHz processor and extremely bright IPS display. The design is slim and attractive with brightly colored back shells. The operating system is Android 4.2.1 with Xiaomi’s own MIUI v5.0. Other features found on the device are two cameras (13 MP and 2 MP), LTE and NFC support.
It seems that the aggressive marketing approach has paid off for the Chinese. Xiaomi was founded just three years ago in 2010 and for the short time being it has managed to deliver high quality products. Alongside the new hardware, the company improves its software features. The Chinese has developed its own Android- based operating system called MIUI currently used from more than 20 million users. In addition to the smartphones, Xiaomi launched its first smart TV.
If you want to buy the Xiaomi Mi3, you need to order it through the official Xiaomi website. The 16 GB version costs around $327, while the 65 GB variant costs $408.
