Wozniak about a possible Apple-Google partnership
Even though it may not sound believable and rational the living legend Steve Wozniak really wants Google and Apple to partner up. The man, who has worked along with Steve Jobs in the dawn of computing now shares for a BBC interview (look at the source link for more) “I wish to God that Apple and Google were partners in the future.”
It seems like a bizarre idea, nevertheless, it may be possible according to the Woz it will be a great partnership that may lead to improvements in the whole industry especially when it comes to voice recognition. He gives an example with Siri not being sure where “Joe’s Dinner” is, however, he marks that now the Android actually finds “Joe’s Dinner” for him, metaphorically, of course.
Moreover, Wozniak does admit that he is not really into the business side of things and he does not understand the barriers that are separating Google and Apple but he believes together they can develop the LED technologies along with the, AR glasses, smartwatches etc..
He further says that he believes that license availability should be at a fair price and not cost millions to obtain. With that thought he also says something that might sound like heresy to most Apple fans.
“There are good things I see on Samsung phones that I wish were in my iPhone. I wish Apple would use them and could use them, and I don’t know if Samsung would stop us.”-Steve Wozniak
It may sound hard to listen to but it seems to be true for Woz. This message in the mobile world sounds like world peace message just before the holidays, however, it is more objective than any other statement. If only could big organizations make some compromises and work towards technology – the thing that they all began with we would see much more satisfied customers.
