Windows Phone 8 coming soon to Sprint
It’s been over two years that the Windows Phone 7 launched. Since then Microsoft has had two major OS launches – the first for Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) and most recently, for Windows Phone 8.
Verizon customers didn’t get any new hardware with the Mango, but they did get a large lot of the Windows Phone 8. Sprint’s subscribers, on the other hand, have been without any Windows Phone hardware since the launch of the HTC Arrive back in March 2011. Now it looks that Sprint is about to change this. The support section of the carrier’s website features a page called ‘Learn more about Windows Phone 8’, and there it is stated “Windows Phone 8 is coming soon!” Moreover, about a month and a half ago a Sprint spokesperson said they were working on a device with Microsoft to bring Windows Phone 8 to their customers.
It is however not likely to see this new device at the CES. An announcement, perhaps, but to actually see the hardware at the CES is still a longshot.
