Verizon with new limited time offer for the customers with unlimited data usage
If you have an unlimited data plan on Verizon you are certainly guarding it off well but now Verizon wants to wean you off of the unlimited data plan and get you into a new deal. The carrier is planning to start a limited time offer along with Verizon Edge plans called Verizon Max.
The idea behind it here is that the new plan that Verizon offers, Verizon Max, will be offered with 6 GB of data (without tethering) for $30, or 8GB of data (with tethering) for $50. This is a huge discount since when we consider it. The commonly seen rates on Verizon are somewhere between $30 for just 2GB of data, and would be $80 for 6GB or $90 for 8GB. But the catch (and you always know there is one) is that the Max plan can only be added to an existing customer line which already has unlimited data on it and signing up for Verizon Edge. The problem is that you not only have to abandon your unlimited data plan but also you have to sign up for Verizon’s questionably worthwhile Edge plan. Both Max and Edge are going to launch on Sunday August 25th. The Edge side of things makes the deal a little bit sketchy but the data side is far more reasonable than you are used to with Verizon.
It seems quite likely that Verizon will be pushing this plan to promote it on their unlimited data customers to make them go on the more expensive plan and assuming your phone is not rooted and you are not using tethering for free then the deal seems quite good although we are not absolutely sure it is crystal clear. Nevertheless, when you look at their other prices about the same amount of data you realize that the price is just right for now. In the end you should make you own decision and tell us about it in the comments.
