Verizon launches a $5 Daily Plan for tablets and connected devices
Verizon is keeping it busy these last two days. First we heard about the HTC One Max they’re getting ready to sell for $299.99 on a contract, and then the carrier officially released the budget-friend adorable Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 Minis for incredibly good offers. And few hours later, Verizon Wireless is wrapping off a new prepaid tablet plan that is compatible with tablets as well as connected devices. Basically, no matter if you chose a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet or the Samsung Galaxy Camera, if you go on the $5 prepaid Daily Plan, you will receive 300MB data for the day.
It’s much easier and cheaper to connect your device via Wi-Fi at home or at the café, or when you’re staying at a hotel, but sometimes wireless connection isn’t available for public usage and that’s where the cellular connection is required. Verizon offers several monthly prepaid plans for tablets and connected devices from $20 for 1GB of data per month to $30 for 2GB, $40 for 4GB, $50 for 6GB and $80 for 10GB.
As you can see, the Daily Plan is quite flexible, because, let’s face it, you’ll use it up immediately and you’ll need additional data. Luckily, you can purchase another 300MB data for the rest of the day for another $5. Either way, you can always opt for a more expensive subscription. Other options exist as for example you can start at $20 for 1GB for the whole month. These plans indeed don’t seem much, but they’re perfect for most of the users who want a new tablet or a connected device in order to use it around the house in their day off or to take it on a trip for couple of days. Some people simply don’t need to use much cellular data and 300MB will serve them just right.
