Triangle Away gets updated with Galaxy S4 and Note 3 on Android 4.4.2 support
The Galaxy Note 3 issue has been finally solved
As we’ve seen it happening so many times before, the software featured in Samsung’s devices is quite easy to be modified. Fortunately for Samsung, an internal flash-counter gave the company a hand in order to keep track of any changes made to the stock software whether a developer decides to show creativity. The counter also causes denied servicing a Samsung device under warranty.
Well, no matter how much time it takes, creativity prevails over all, as the popular Triangle Away application by the developer Chainfire managed to overcome the counter action. The app allows users to reset this flash-counter and many devices have taken advantage of it for quite a while. The only water stone so far has been the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which security implementations have given the developer lots of trouble to deal with, so owners of the device have been left behind waiting to find a way to reset the flash-counter.
And here comes the great news- Triangle Away has been updated to version 3.25and according to Chainfire, the Galaxy Note 3 issue has been solved. The updated app finally features Galaxy Note 3 support; however it’s said to work only on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat firmware that started rolling out officially only a day ago. The only bad news is that Triangle Away is not able to reset the KNOX Warranty Void at least for now as some users have already shared their experience. According to their reports, the devices got fixed under warranty even with the mentioned status set.
No matter how we look at it, it’s a big progress and things will hopefully improve in the coming weeks. Off the record, the new update also adds support to the recently leaked KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S4.
