Today Motorola announced the brand new Motorola DROID MAXX
After today, at a special event organized by Motorola and Verizon, some of the mysteries around the new Motorola DROID MAXX have been revealed and now we can announce what are officially some of the specs around it and mainly what is its battery life.
3500 mAh is the short answer. But this is more than just a number it is with 200mAh more than the previous phone in line and it is the range of phablets’ capacity. It is also said to be able to work for 48 hours. As we continue we notice some very interesting set of specs going along with the battery life. Let’s start with the display – 5″ HD OLED display (not PenTile).
The processor is 1.7 GHz octa-core and it features the “Motorola X8 mobile computing system”, there are also 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. Although Motorola claims 8 cores the application ones are two and the rest are four 400 MHz graphics cores, one contextual and one core for natural language processing.
Nevertheless, these are some amazing characteristics which make the phone even more impressive since it is really, really slim. Overall, the Motorola DROID MAXX is supposed to be the pinnacle of achievement that was presented along with two other DROID smartphones – Motorola DROID Mini and Motrola DROID Ultra at the event which took place in New York.
When it comes to the camera it is 10MP one an it is on the back and features new ClearPixel technology developed by Motorola, which uses different RGBC color filter than the usual Bayer RGBG one. This feature provides the phone with the ability to bring in more photons especially at low-light environments in this way allowing the phone to deal better with noise and blur, at least in theory. Last but not least we should mention the price and it is a kicker-$299.99 with a two year contract. It is supposed to be available as early as 20th August.
