The upcoming smartphone Monkey King 2 will be powered by an octa-core processor
The manufacturers in China seem to be racing in developing and releasing smartphones powered by a true octa-core processor. The new model that will join the “battlefield” on the mobile arena is ThL Monkey King 2. If you have never heard of the brand or the phone before, it might be because the company is focusing on working on local ground. It is more famous in China, but the manufacturer has the goals to introduce its devices worldwide in future. The ThL Monkey King 2 is the successor of the Monkey King handset released months ago. The leak that appeared on the web reveals a few photos of the upcoming device. We can see the sleek body of the phone with relatively sharp edges. On some of the photos the phone resembles the silhouette of XiaoMi Mi3.
The source of the leak unveils a bit of the mystery around the device. For example, it seems that Monkey King 2 will boast a removable back plate. The display of the phone will be protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating. The key feature of the smartphone will be its octa-core CPU with MediaTek MT6592 chip and 2GB RAM on board. The built-in memory is 32GB. Monkey King 2 runs on Tang Dou platform which is based on Android. Among the extraordinary features of the device is its pair of 13MP cameras. They are located on the rare panel and on the front side of the phone. This means that Monkey King 2 will be just perfect for selfies.
Sources say that the phone will be launched in China, but no exact date for the release was shared in the leak. The expectations for the price of the handset suggest a price tag around $299. Even though the phone will most likely be released on in the China, there is a good chance to see the device listed in international online retailers like eBay and Amazon.
