The waterproof 4.6-inch Sony Xperia ZR arrives in June
Another member of the Xperia family was announced yesterday. A mid-range phone according to the 2013 standards, Xperia ZR still has decent characteristics and would be perfect for the average user. Sony Xperia ZR promises new adventures – it has a durable battery and it is dust and water-resistant, so you can record HDR videos underwater. Xperia ZR will be always ready to capture your memories. With rating of IP55/58, the phone is well protected and all its ports are firmly closed. Sony promises the new device can be kept under 1.50m of water for 30 min, and it is dust-resistant with rating of IP5X. The glass is double tempered and it is stronger than traditional materials. Additionally, it is covered with anti-shattered film on the front for a better protection.
Sony Xperia ZR packs a decent 4.6-inch 750p HDR display for a great user experience, even underwater. The display has a pixel density of 319p per inch and with the Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology you can enjoy sharper and brighter images and the best contrast and colors. Combining the Reality display and the Mobile BRAVIA Engine, Sony offers one of the most intelligent screens which adjust automatically to deliver the best images and videos.
The Xperia ZR has a 13-megapixel camera with Exmor Backlit technology allowing perfect pictures even in low-light conditions. The same technology is used in the leading Sony cameras and the Exmor sensor ensures highly detailed images and low noise even in challenging conditions. You can turn on the function Superior Auto mode, and you will make pictures with the optimal settings, automatically adjusted. Sony Xperia ZR has a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro with 1.5 GHz and 2 GB of RAM and a graphic processing unit Adreno 320. The new device will be available in 4 colors and will hit the market in Q2.
