The 10th million LG LTE smartphone sold
In a world were Samsung and Apple are leaders on the market with millions of sales per quarter this may seem not too much, but it surely is an achievement worth highlighting. This morning from LG announced that the company has sold 10 million LTE smartphones so far.
Some experts say that most of these 10 million units are sold in the company’s native country – South Korea, but this doesn’t matter – the phones are sold, no matter where, and the figure is grand.
Just have in mind that the LTE service is still under development in all parts of the world. Maybe in the United States and South Korea it is at some better level, but everywhere else it is still ‘learning how to walk’. Even Europe has a lot more to do – it is still at the beginning in the United Kingdom, for example. What’s even more problematic – to create a device that is LTE compatible in a particular area of the world.
LG is going to try even harder to conquer the LTE market and, moreover, to provide affordable LTE devices. Maybe this will be easily achieved with the launching of the devices of the F-series, announced at the Mobile World Congress in the end of February. Let’s congratulate LG for the achievement and wish the South Korean company good luck!
