Tesco Mobile slashed down the price of Moto G to £99
The 16GB variant of Moto G is also available at the price of £129
Earlier this month, Motorola Moto G made its official debut on the mobile stage. The smartphone was highly anticipated for being the more affordable alternative to Motorola Moto X and it brought a superior design for ultimate experience as well as an excellent performance. Moto G is indeed a budget-friendly handset, but that didn’t stop Tesco Mobile from slashing down its price even more, at least for the 8GB model. The UK mobile virtual network operator offers the device for only £99 and basically that move made the 8GB Moto G the best budget phone in town.
Of course, the 16GB variant of Moto G is also available at the price of £129. Moreover, there are clubcard points and vouchers that will reduce the price even more. The only bad news is, the handset will be locked to Tesco Mobile, but this still won’t change the fact the pricing is extremely hard to resist.
In terms of what you’ll get when you buy a Moto G, the compact version of Moto X has unique curves and 4.5-inch display with 720p screen resolution which is the sharpest screen when it comes to this class of smartphones. Moreover, the device operates with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM, good enough for multitasking and media. The internal storage comes in two variants- 8GB and 16GB. Moto G has a LED flash 5-megapixel camera capable of capturing 720p video. The front-facing cam is 1.3-megapixel.
In terms of the operating system the device is running, so far the handset offers Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Fortunately, Motorola confirmed that KitKat will be rolling out to Moto G in the end of January. Meanwhile, the Android 4.4 will be preinstalled for the device in the US early next year, as SVP Mark Randal officially announced.
