New smartphone Oppo Neo might be arriving soon, rumors say
In the last weeks of 2013 we saw a lot of leaks of the upcoming phablet Oppo Find 7. There were many rumors about the alleged date for the announcement of the high-end flagship. We are still waiting for the official debut of Oppo Find 7. Meantime a published teaser on the fan page of Oppo Indonesia makes the clue for another model by the manufacturer “coming soon.” The new smartphone will provide much more modest specs than the anticipated Find 7. It is named Oppo Neo.
The phone will be equipped with a 4.5-inches IPS LCD screen. This type of display will be able to detect touches even when the hand is in gloves – the Gloved mode. The teaser reveals also that Oppo Neo will support the gesture-based feature of Oppo named Quick reach that “Let your finger talk” as it is described. This is about all that the teaser reveals about the upcoming device. We will wait and see.
Oppo released several very impressive smartphones in the last year. Oppo N1 is a high-end smartphone with unique camera module that can rotate. Not long ago the company launched in China Oppo R1. It is a mid-range phablet with 5-inches display with 720p and MediaTek chip under the hood. Rumors from the end of the last year suggest that the company is working on an affordable Android-running smartphone with codename Oppo R833T. It is a 4.3-inches device with Android OS on board customized with Color OS 1.0 of Oppo.
We are eager to know more about the price and the availability of the new handset. It is nice to know that the manufacturer might introduce another small smartphone compared to the most famous devices equipped with 5+ inches screens. Hopefully more leaks will soon be shared on the web about the specs and the appearance of Oppo Neo. Stay tuned.
