T-Mobile a MLB’s wireless partner. Win tickets for Opening Day!
T-Mobile has won the competition and become the official wireless carrier of Major League Baseball.
To celebrate, T-Mobile and MLB are offering to thirty lucky people the chance to win two tickets to the Opening Day game of their choice. To enter the contest, visit the sourcelink and fill out the entry form. But you’d better hurry up! The contest ends on February 8th and on, or around February 14th, the lucky winners will be announced.
What will T-Mobile offer in return to the honour? The carrier said it will enhance games with its wireless technology by introducing a new 4G based on-field communications system that will provide a wireless connection between the dugout and bullpen.
Isn’t it a great way for T-Mobile to earn free advertising?! Considering that an average of 5 televised trips to the bullpen each game, the promotional value of the bullpen phones could amount to $6.7 million worth of exposure on national games on FOX, ESPN and TBS and another $8.5 million on regional networks.
Naturally, all the phones used for the service, will be locked version of T-Mobile models. This will prevent spying by the opposition and will also prevent the fans from hearing whatever the Manager is saying to the bullpen.
T-Mobile is also introducing one of the best sports apps in the business, MLB.com’s At Bat mobile app, to thus provide customers with baseball content.
