Surface RT and iPad compared on a video by Microsoft
We all have heard the not optimistic prognosis for the sells of Microsoft Surface RT tablets. Recently the company has lowered the price of the slate significantly. However Microsoft has made it clear that it will not give up on the model. The company has just launched a new video for comparison of its flagship tablet and the main competition of Surface RT – Apple iPad. The video was published on YouTube yesterday. The video begins with lively music tune as a background of the slides where you can see the main differences between both slates. According to the video, one of the main advantages of Surface RT before iPad is the integrated keyboard. The Microsoft tablet logically arrives with Microsoft Office packages installed which is pointed as another advantage for the device. More benefits of the tablet are also the improved multitasking and the full-sized USB port which is in fact rather convenient. Surface RT also includes a kickstand.
Microsoft does not forget to draw the attention on the prices for the tablets. As we know, the current price of the 32GB version of Surface RT is $349 while the costs for a 16GB iPad are $499.
It is difficult to make a conclusion for the better device between both. It is true that the kickstand and the keyboard certainly make Surface RT more comfortable for work tablet. The multitasking possibility is also a nice addition to the features of the tablet. However the small size of the screen of Surface RT is an obstacle for working with more than one app or program. Still… it is good to have it. The flagship tablet of Microsoft delivers a nice set of capabilities and options. The company is trying new approaches and encouraging campaigns to boost the sales of the device.
