Sony Xperia Z1 passes through Bluetooth SIG, ready to arrive in T-Mobile
Almost a month ago the good ol’ tipster @evleaks shared some nice looking render photos of the flagship Sony Xperia Z1 with the T-Mobile tattoo on it. The launch date and the price for the device were not announced. The render photo gave us the idea that the release of the T-Mobile branded camera-based phone will happen soon.
Three weeks later we are still waiting for some news or clues about the upcoming high-end handset. The rumors mill and the filings of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group finally shed some light on the topic. It seems that a mysterious device dubbed “Xperia Z1 TMO US” have been spotted in a new entry in the official website of Bluetooth SIG. The depicted device does not include the expected markings of the T-Mobile carrier but we are pretty confident that the “TMO” letters are the abbreviation of the carrier. Sony Xperia Z1 is not the first device of the line that will be launched by one of the biggest mobile operators in the US. Its predecessor Sony Xperia Z arrived in T-Mobile earlier this year.
The specs of Sony Xperia Z1 include a 5-inches screen, 1080p. It is an Android running smartphone working with the 4.2 Jelly Bean version pre-installed. The model is eligible for update to the newly released 4.4 KitKat. In the heart of Xperia Z1 is ticking a quad-core processor set at 2.2GHz and Snapdragon 800 chipset. Its extraordinary feature that makes it stand out from the rest smartphones in the same category is its 20.7MP camera on the back. The battery of the flagship is with a capacity of 3000mAh. The new leak does not reveal the launch date of the device by T-Mobile. The growing number of leaks in the tech world usually means that we can expect it sooner than later.
