Sony Xperia E1 – ‘best smartphone in its class’
The device packs 100Db speaker that would let you enjoy music even near a motorcycle
Hours ago Sony unveiled its upcoming Android smartphone Sony Xperia E1 in London and the new device brings out the company’s leading audio technologies all together. Rated as the ‘best smartphone in its class’, the handset specializes in media, particularly in music. In that term, although the device sports lower specs than we hope for, it packs all the best of Sony’s audio features in order to satisfy music lovers.
In terms of hardware, Sony Xperia E1 isn’t ground-breaking as it targets the lower price tag. The specs pack a 4-inch WVGA display with 800×480 pixels of resolution and a dial-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8210 CPU under the hood. The processor is coated at 1.2GHz and paired with only 512MB of RAM. The integrated internal storage is also humble with 4GB. There’s no word which version of Android will be running on the device; however despite the specifications being perfect for the latest Android 4.4 KitKat, the handset will most likely offer Jelly Bean out of the box.
Now, let’s get to the good part. When you pass the rather low specs, you get to the real value of Sony Xperia E1. The device packs 100Db speaker that would let you enjoy music even near a motorcycle, as the company claims. Furthermore, the phone includes few specialized listening modes suck as the ClearAudio+ that enables users to optimize the frequency balance. There’s also the xLOUD feature for loud and crystal sound. Sony has already made a name of itself when it comes to great sound, so we can’t help it but mention the Walkman brand that also leaves fingerprints on the new Xperia E1 via the Walkman application. This one will help you collect and organize your music easily on the device as well as in the cloud. In the meantime, Walkman controls and gestures are also included, so you can still shake to shuffle.
Unfortunately, there’s still no word on availability and pricing; however so far we know that Xperia E1 will arrive in three color options, including black, purple and white.
