Sony is working on two new flagship smartphones
According to a large number of Asian websites, Sony is currently working on two new high-end phones code-named “Togari” and “Honami”. The devices, rumored to be dust and water resistant could be expected in the second half of 2013. We have few details about these phones now. One is sure – Honami will have a larger display than Togari. There are plenty of juicy rumors supporting that. First, an unnamed tester of the devices posted some information on Baidu. It was said that Togari will have a 6.44 inch 1080p display with similar design to Xperia Z. Another rumor says that Togari will be super slim and will have a glass back. With at least one additional white color option it is thought to be launched in Japan in July or August.
Honami will be far more interesting and according to the tester it can be placed among iPhone 5 and Zperia Z. It is believed that Honami will combine all the greatest technologies in one chassis. With a 20- megapixel camera with Cals Zeiss lens and a CMOS sensor the phone will probably have a Snapdragon 800 chipset with a 2.3 GHz quad –core processor plus a battery with a capacity between 2700 and 3000mAh. If all of the information is true, this would be a really impressive phone.
Another website says that Honami may have a Triluminos display, Snapdragon 800 chipset and a 16- megapixel camera, instead of 20 –megapixel. Honami could be released in July in Asia (according to the Chinese site ePrice, it will debut in China via Unicom). Whilst none of the information presented here is not supported by official sources, our advice is to take it with a grain of salt. We will keep you informed about the development of the new handsets and any official report.
