Sony Honami in white spotted on pictures next to iPhone 5 and Xperia Z
Sony Honami is the eagerly anticipated camera-focused high end smartphone that we all expect to see on 4th of Sept during the IFA conference. Sony has already begun sending invitations for the significant event when numerous devices we have heard about will make their official appearance, and perhaps several surprising models will grab our attention.
Rumors and leaks for Sony Honami have already drawn a nice picture of what we should expect from the camera-based phone related to its specs and appearance. The newest leak with photos gives us even better idea for the handset, compared with two of the most popular devices on the mobile arena, the Apple iPhone 5 and Sony Xperia Z. The set of pictures that appeared on the Chinese forum Didi-Wo also reveals officially the white version of Sony Honami.
The picture with the camera phone next to iPhone 5 shows the difference in the sizes between the devices. We already know that Honami will be armored with a 5-inch display which looks a lot bigger in size next to the 4-inch screen of Apple’s flagship.
The front panel of Sony Honami reminds a lot to Xperia Z as we can see from the picture comparing both phones. The upcoming camera-focused phone is slightly longer. On the rare panel of the smartphone we can clearly see the main advantage of the handset- its 20.7MP camera with 1/2.3-inch sensor.
The other specs of the innovative camera phone include a quad-core CPU with Snapdragon 800 chipset, as well as a battery with 3,000mAh capacity. The new smartphone will work over Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS enriched with the native user interface for the line, Sony Xperia UI. Rumors say that Sony Honami will arrive in a water resistant body which means that it might support the option to take underwater photos. Few more weeks to come and will see the camera-based smartphone officially part of the tech world. Let’s hope that the launch date will not be much later after that.
