Sony Core and SmartBand wearable techs unveiled at the press event
Sony introduced two new wearable gadgets the Sony Core and the Sony SmartBand
Sony was one of the first companies that entered the arena of wearable techs more than a year ago with its SmartWatch. Since then the manufacturer released the new generation of the smartwatch. Rumors say that we will soon see the more improved version of the wearable tech. The advanced timepieces are only little part of the innovative wearable devices we see at the CES 2014. Sony has just announced the Sony Core gadget. It is a very small wearable tech that can be carried around with the user.
The main functions of the Core are to collect different information and data about your way of life and health related habits. It is compatible with the Android platform and works with the app Lifelog. Some of the data that the Lifelog will deliver for you through the gadget is number of calories you have burned throughout the day, number of step or minutes you have spent in walking. It can monitor your heart beat etc.
Among the advantages of the Smart Core is that it can be attached to other wearable gadgets, like the advanced wristband by the company the Sony SmartBand. This is another new addition to the collection of wearable devices that the manufacturer is releasing. The SmartBand can monitor and follow your daily activities. It also works with the Lifelog app where the whole information is collected. Sony did not reveal many details about the new devices. For example it is still a mystery how the Sony Core will be attached to the Sony SmartBand or the SmartWatch 2. At the press conference Sony revealed its plans to focus on the wearable techs in 2014. The company is ready to introduce new apps for its SmartWatch 2. We are yet to find out the price and the availability of the Smart Core and the SmartBand. Stay tuned.
