Sony Xperia Z1s is promising to be one of the most capable and impressive minis in the digit world. Rumors and leaks about the handset are emerging every day on the web. The latest leak from FCC reveals that the mini variant of the flagship Sony Xperia Z1 is named with the codename “Sony Amami” and it has just received its certification. The FCC database unveils limited information for the device. It seems that Sony Xperia Z1s aka Amami will run on Android 4.3 instead of the expected Android 4.4 platform.
The first rumors about the existence of a small-sized variant of the main star of Sony appeared around the time when we were ready to welcome the debut of Sony Xperia Z1. When the flagship was officially presented and launched the rumors for the mini variant of the phone begun more intensive. Not long ago Sony announced Xperia Z1 f only for the Japanese market. It is a small variant of the Xperia Z1 that boasts high-end specs packed in compact body. Sony Amami is expected to be the international version of the Xperia Z1 f. The launch date of the much anticipated model still remains a mystery. However the predictions suggest that we will see the device to go official in the first weeks of 2014.
What should we expect from Sony Xperia Z1? Amami will be armored with a 4.3-inches screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280p. Even though it will not boast the 1080p resolution of its bigger sibling, the Xperia Z1s will provide an exceptional visual experience with its 341ppi pixel density. One of the most impressive features of the model is its blazing fast processor – Snapdragon 800 chip. Sony is breaking the trend followed by many manufacturers for releasing small variants of their flagships with modest specs. Xperia Z1s will not be modest at all. Its beautiful design will be in tune with the Xperia line and the Xperia Z1 model in particular. It is expected to be water and dust resistant with IP55 and IP58 certificates. The key feature of the phone is its 20.7MP rare camera. It is the same shooter that adorns the camera-based Xperia Z1. The battery of the Amami is expected to be with 2300mAh capacity which will give enough juice to the device for many hours during the day. As we mentioned above, the FCC entry reveals that the Xperia Z1s will arrive with Android 4.3 pre-installed.
