Smartphones predict the future with the help of apps
During the previous week we reported to you about firemen in Atlantic City that used an iOS app on a tablet instead of the Bible in an official ceremony. Yes, the Bible, as well the Koran and another religious texts are available for free download and usage on every mobile OS. And now we are seeing that the spiritual and esoteric is integrating even more with our smartphones as new fortune-telling and future-predicting apps come out and offer their service.
An example is the Witch of Laru – a new app for Windows Phone 7.5 and 8.0 that was released on January 15. It is based on the tradition of predicting the future with ordinary playing cards – predicting your future, as the developers emphasise in the description. The app is simple yet engaging – you ask a question and draw five cards from the deck. You are not expected to know or guess the meaning of the cards – they are provided for you in a random order and you need only to arrange them and read them. Similar to Tarot cards, but quite easier and simpler.
And while you are arranging cards and predicting your future, let’s remember that this is only an app and nothing it tells you should be taken serious. It’s you who builds your future and you can change it as you like no matter what a Windows Phone future-predicting app says.
