Slow sales for Galaxy S4 mini revealed in recent reports
Samsung Galaxy S4 mini is the smaller sibling of the flagship Samsung Galaxy S4, purposed for developing markets. The phone will be the best choice for users who want to enjoy the experience of Galaxy S4 but do not like the large display or cannot afford the high price. on theory, the smartphone will satisfy the needs of users who are looking for modern mid-range device. However it seems that Galaxy S4 mini cannot attract enough customers and its numbers of sales are disappointing. Sources revealed to DigiTimes that the mini variant of Galaxy S4 is registering slow sales.
The main reason for this is the high price of the device. Galaxy S4 mini is a phone from the mid-range category with a decent but not extraordinary package of features and specs. Some of the rivals of the phone are the newly released HTC One mini and the just announced Sony Xperia Z1 f. the critics of the Galaxy S4 mini are mainly because of the absence of the characteristic features for the original flagship in the mini variant.
The small-sized version of Sony Xperia Z1 f for example will arrive with the same 20.7MP camera which gives a great advantage of the phone before the competition. Galaxy S4 mini comes with a 4.3-inches display Super AMOLED with the modest resolution of 960x540p. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. In the heart of the device is working dual-core Snapdragon 400 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz and 1.5GB RAM. It boasts only 8GB storage but assures support for microSD cards. The main camera of the device is located on the back panel with 8MP. On the front side is placed the 1.9MP for video calls. The battery of Galaxy S4 mini has 1900mAh capacity. The costs for the phone are similar to the price of the last year’s flagship Samsung Galaxy S3 which brings more attractive package of specs than the mini.
