Sharp Aquos Phone Zeta SH-01F released in Japan
Sharp has launched the Aquos Phone Zeta SH-01F smartphone that replaces the old model named Aquos SH-06E. The new device is one of the DoCoMo recommended phones and it has really attractive innards.
First, this smartphone boasts a nice 5-inch FullHD display that is extremely energy efficient. Its type is LCD with the Sharp’s IGZO technology. The display resolution is also great – 1920 x 1080 pixels. With such characteristic, Sharp becomes definitely very competitive on the high-end market. But that’s not all, Sharp Aquos Phone Zeta SH-01F is built around a super-fast quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor ticking over at 2.2 GHz. The new model has a 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The body is waterproof, it measures 141 x 70 x 8.9 mm and weighs 139 grams.
Thanks to the IGZO display technology and the impressive 3000 mAh battery, the Zeta SH-01F last for 3 days on a single charge. The high energy consumption level is among the biggest problems in the modern high-end smartphones. How to increase the battery life is still an open question for the major smartphone OEMs. Sharp and other Japanese manufacturers are working hard on the problem and we already see some results. A number of energy efficient high-end devices have been released or will be released at some point in the future. Hopefully we will see the technology in more models available outside Japan.
The Japanese carrier DoCoMo will offer the new Sharp Phone Zeta SH-01F in three different colors – in white, red and navy blue. The smartphone will be available only in Japan. The sales start in November.
