Samsung introduces Galaxy Tab 3
Last few days have offered plenty of good news around Samsung. The last one is that the new Galaxy Tab 3 has been officially unveiled. You should be warned that if you anticipate an entirely different 8- inch tablet, you will be disappointed. The new version is similar to the Galaxy Tab 2 with its 7- inch 1024 x 600p, 169 PPI TFT screen and its overall design. If you want a crisper display, there are many better options on the market right now. The processor is upgraded to 1.2GHz with 1 GB of RAM, compared with 1.0 GHz in Galaxy Tab 2. It comes also with a 5- megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front.
Offered with 8 or 16 GB of internal storage, the Galaxy Tab 3 has plenty of space to hold your files. You can expand your storage up to 64 GB using a microSD slot. The Li-ion battery has a capacity of 4,000 mAh. The Galaxy Tab runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Other features in the device are – Accelerometer, Geo-magnetic and Light, Proximity. It has also a GPS+ GLONASS and it comes with some preloaded apps like Samsung ChatON and all of the popular Google services – Gmail, Play, Maps, You-tube and others. Unfortunately, Galaxy Tab 3 doesn’t support LTE networks.
The price range is yet to be announced, but you can expect the standard version in the coming days and the 3G version will follow in June. In other news, the company revealed its plans for the Galaxy S4 around the globe. Galaxy S4 will be released in a total of 155 countries. Customers from the first 60 countries can buy the product within weeks. Before the second quarter of the year, Galaxy S4 will be released to even more locations.
