Samsung gets ready to unveil 10.5-inch AMOLED tablet at CES 2014
Samsung revealed its plans to focus on such devices next year
Recently we reported that Samsung is working hard on releasing more AMOLED tablets in the upcoming 2014. So far the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has been the only tablet by the Korean company that launched with a super AMOLED screen. Fortunately, Samsung revealed its plans to focus on such devices next year and to offer its faithful users quite the viewing experience.
Today’s report is shedding some more light on the matter as the Korean Media leaks an inside information that Samsung will unveil a 10.5-inch tablet featuring an AMOLED screen at CES that will take hold next year in January. This is even sooner than we expected, so in all Samsung is quickly getting on its feet to fight more aggressively on the market by lunching such tablets. If the company manages to deal with the optical image stabilization issue soon before its next flagship devices launch, the Korean manufacturer would simply rock 2014.
With the newest report, it’s time for a history lesson. First, few days ago we had a glimpse at a Samsung tablet SM-T331 that raised some questions whether the device would be the Samsung Galaxy 4 with AMOLED display. At least the number obviously suggests the Galaxy series and above all, the only specific information regarding the tablet was its price of $550 that means we’re talking about a high-end device.
This came exactly 6 days after the report that revealed Samsung working on 8-inch and 10-inch AMOLED tablets. Well, it hasn’t been confirmed or anything, but the leaked information matches everything we’ve got so far, so it seems legit.
Let us not forget that Samsung has a really tough competition on the market, especially in the face of Apple and Microsoft, so prepping big screen tablets with AMOLED displays is the only possible move.
On the other hand, aside from the 8-inchers, one month ago we also received a report that the Korean company is working on 13.3-inch tablet in order to rival Apple’s iPads.
In all, CES 2014 is going to be much anticipated and we’re finally going to have some answers. Stay tuned.
