Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 gets Jelly Bean
The leader in the production of mobile phones Samsung has officially announced that the first phase of the update to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is in progress. However, users could not switch to the new version of the OS, as it is updated in phases. The new version may not yet be available in your country, but be sure that it will soon be available to you. The upgrade to a higher version of Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 is being carried out through Samsung Kies or OTA. Before you upgrade to the new version, fully charge your cell phone because the process of updating requires a lot of time and resources.

The updated version provides improved notifications, performance, battery life and a new TouchWiz. The update is currently spreading in Portugal and is available through Samsung KIES and Over-the-Air (OTA). There is currently no official information where the product will be distributed next, and how long it will take conquer the world.
All new Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Firmwares for Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 (GT-I8160) are present in the Firmware section of the site http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ as well. You can use the above mentioned section to manually update your device, if for any reason fail to update the OS through Samsung Kies or OTA while using a custom ROM or your country is not on the list of areas that will receive the update.
The latest update brings a bunch of different improvements to Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 model and should inspire some new life in the old-fashioned device.
