Many predict that the fingerprint scanner will be integrated in the new iPhone model (perhaps iPhone 6) that will be connected to the home button of the device. The latest leak that comes from the reliable source – the KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo brings more light to the concept for the next iPhone. He confirms that the company is really working on integrating the finger scanning technology as one of the safety features in the handset. According to him, Apple makes this possible by using a convex button instead of concave shaped button which will open-up more space for the innovative technology.
Ming-Chi Kuo shares the information that the new button will be made of sapphire. This is a logical choice by Apple because of the strong anti-scratch properties of the tough material that will assure a reliable protection of the button against damage and scratches. As we know, Apple recently bought the company specialized in biometric technologies – AuthenTec which implies different fingerprint scanning technology, and according to Kuo, the fingerprint scanner will be dust-resistant. Ming-Chi Kuo also expresses his opinion that the most convenient place for the fingerprint scanner is the home button of the device.
Different analysts in the mobile world predict that the inclusion of the now technology and feature by Apple will boost the sells of iPhone 5S coming up in a few weeks. The new capability will improve significantly the safety of the user experience against stealing of the device or stealing information.
The idea of the fingerprint scanner in iPhone 5S is really appealing. However the recently leaked images of the upcoming device do not show it as part of the phone.
