Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with a flexible display arrives in September
Different rumors and news about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 have been hitting the web during the past few months. First, we heard the future handset will include a 5.7-inch display, despite the previous information for a 5.99-inch screen. At the same time, other rumors claimed that Samsung could use both LED and AMOLED displays on the different markets and the flexible displays won’t appear with the device, because Samsung has still a lot of work to do.
Now, a new report in MT Media in South Korea reveals that the next generation Samsung Galaxy Note 3 arrives with a 5.99 inch flexible super AMOLED display. The handset is expected to enter production in August while the launch will be set for September, the publication adds. MT Media supports its statement with a couple of reasons listed in the publication. The main reason for adding a flexible display is the sales thread from the other manufacturers working on the same display technology. According to the rumors, LG is also pretty close to bring its own flexible display to the market.
At the same time, the other major players – HTC and Sony will have their alternatives of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Sony is preparing the Xperia Z Ultra, while HTC – the rumored HTC One Max. Both devices will surely compete with the Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3.
Samsung is a well-know company with its innovations and product development and it always wants to stay at the forefront of the new technologies. This is another reason for launching the next-gen Galaxy Note 3 with a flexible display instead of non-flexible. MT Media doesn’t reveal details about the release date, the characteristics and the availability of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but we hope more details to appear soon.
