Record of Agarest War finally on Android
In honour of celebrating the upcoming Christmas holidays, HyperDevBox has delivered on their promise to adapt the RPG game Record of Agarest War as an app on Android. The company had claimed this back in October and now it’s finally a fact. HyperDevBox are popular for porting a number of Japanese game titles for consoles to the Android platform like Spectral Souls and Blazing Sould Accelate, both of which had a pretty moderate success among gamers.
Record of Agarest War tells the story of a fantasy place, where the age of gods is at an end. It ended when the door to oblivion was opened. Now there are five continents in the world of Agarest, each one pierced by a great pillar that towered toward the sky, which turn out the be the gods themselves. The age of the myth ends where the story begins on the continent of Lucrellia, when a young man called Leonhardt is forced to sacrifice everything – his future and even his children – to protect an elven girl. At death’s door, he pledges himself to a contract and the final tale of the gods and souls begins.
The game offers many features such as:
You can witness the soul breed system, where you chose a bride at the end of your adventure and she gives birth to the hero of the next generation.
When you position your forces on the battlefield, you have to wait for the right moment to string together massive combo attacks using multiple party members both in melee and at range.
There are over 100 hours of gameplay packed into 1.8 GB data, 59 outstanding soundtracks, 40 cut scenes, the game is fully voice acted with 16,000 character voices, it offers over 400 different magic spells and battle skills and various enemies.
The Record of Agarest War game app was last updated on December 19th 2013 and it requires Android 2.2 and up. The size and current version vary with each device.
Record of Agarest War is currently on sale for $8.66, a 40% discount that will be in effect through December 31, 2013.
