The newest addition on the arena of wearable devices – Razer Nabu
The wearable devices are getting so many so fast that it is becoming a challenge to recognize them or remember their features. The gaming company Razer has just unveiled a new wearable tech that will be distinguished by the sea of devices. It is named Razer Nabu. In terms of possibilities and features the new device blends the advantages of the modern smartwatches and the fitness trackers. Just like an advanced timepiece, the Nabu can deliver notifications and alerts via Bluetooth connectivity. It is compatible with two most popular platforms, Android and iOS. The user can choose which notifications to be displayed on the OLED display. For example, you can get alerts for emails, incoming calls, texts, Facebook updates, Instagram notifications, Skype messages etc.
Speaking of display, the Nabu actually has two OLED screens. One of them is located on the top side of the device while the other is set at the back of the wrist. The upper display is named Public Icon Screen that only indicates the received notifications. More details about the alerts you can see on the Private Message Screen. In this way you have more privacy and you can control who sees the notifications. The Private Message Screen of Razer Nabu gets activated only if the device is positioned correctly on the wrist. There is an integrated accelerometer that can detect whether the device is worn properly.
One of the extraordinary features of the device is named Pulse. It can “find” other Razer Nabu devices nearby. The users can connect via the social discover apps. Apart from the special capabilities of the device, it works as a fitness tracker as well. This means that you can keep track on the burned calories, steps, exercise etc. The iOS and Android platforms have special apps for the gadget. The whole information about your activity is collected so you can keep track of your progress. The company has not announced launch date or price for the device. Developers can get a unit for $49 when Razer announces it for sales.
