Polaroid unveils its Q series tablets at CES 2014
Polaroid announces new quad-core models running Android 4.4 Kit Kat
Polaroid, the company popular with its photo cameras and accessories, is preparing brand new Q series tablets for spring 2014. According to the press release, three new Android based models will be introduced at CES 2014 next week. Polaroid Q Series tablets will be manufactured by a licensee called Southern Telecom. Polaroid Q7 (7-inch), Polaroid Q8 (8-inch) and Polaroid Q10 (10.1 inch model) will come with ultra fast quad-core processors, Wi-Fi and Android 4.4 Kit Kat. These tablets will be one of the few on the market, having the latest mobile OS – Kit Kat. The Q series tablets will cost between $129 and $179 and they will arrive as early as spring 2014.
The company’s vice president and CEO, Scott W. Hardy comments: “Tablets are changing the way consumers use and share their favorite media and memories”. In this light, the new products offered by the company will satisfy the needs of the consumers for on-the-go convenient tablets, powerful enough and full with features. They will be equipped with super-fast quad-core processors, allowing users to play games, watch videos or browse the WEB. The Q series have sleek and elegant designs, plus affordable price tags.
Detailed specsheets of the tablets will be available at the event next week. According to the initial press release, each model will come with HDMI port, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and two cameras. Furthermore, a full access to the Play Store will let you enjoy a plethora of apps and games. Other details about Q7, Q8 and Q10 will become available at CES 2014, where Polaroid is expected to announce more new products in addition to the three Android tablets.
