PhotoBox! for Android really needs some updates
PhotoBox! comes for free and works just fine, but it hasn’t received updates since April 2012
Social networks undoubtedly gained popularity amongst users the last few years which leads to even more social applications popping up like mushrooms every now and then. In order to share content to their Facebook, or Twitter or Tumblr accounts, users need those applications on their smart devices. Following the tendency, platforms are offering a big number of those apps to provide users with the ability to share images and videos on the social networks. One of the apps on Android is the well-known PhotoBox that for some reason hasn’t been updated since April last year where the developers added landscape support mode and fixed some bugs.
PhotoBox offers the basic stuff like viewing our own photos or ones that are posted by our friends, the mandatory option that allows us to untag ourselves from unwanted photos as well as to edit and apply special effects to any image we’re viewing. In fact, posting photos to Facebook, liking and commenting photos or backing up such in offline mode isn’t a big deal right now as other apps see updates and new features almost every month. But let us not forget also that PhotoBox for Android is completely free and works just fine. It’s just so strange that it hasn’t been updated for such a long time and it’s no longer the only app all-in-one app supporting search, management, edit and share options on Facebook. There’s a running gag that when something reaches perfection it stops levelling, but when it comes to apps, updates won’t hurt anyone and photo-sharing apps do need to expand and add support for more social networks as well as more features and bug fixes. On the other hand, the developers might be working on some major updates and we’re about to see Photobox for Android updates in the near future with some major changes that will make it worth waiting.
While we wait, if you still haven’t tried the PhotoBox application, you can download it for free straight from the Google Play Store HERE.
