Nokia will not announce a tablet at MWC
The MWC is in less than two weeks and the tension is increasing with every minute. A lot of expectations, a lot of rumours, a lot of teasing ads by the companies (especially HTC!) and a lot of people convinced that this year’s Congress will be the best ever and will be recorded in the mobile world’s history as a most memorable event. However, it will pass without one anticipated ‘feature’ – the announcement of the first Nokia tablet.
Nokia surely has serious plans for being the leader on the mobile market. However, its risk-free strategy is apparently based on not distracting from the smartphones, at least for now. It appears that the company wants to pay as much attention as possible on the Lumia series and turn it into a great success before announcing a tablet.
A serious research conducted by Strategy Analytics found out that there are is no tablet included into the Nokia announcement lists. The reason is that Nokia wants to bring to a huge success the Lumia project. Only after that will the company focus on other forms of hi-tech devices and its fans and customers will be able to try something absolutely new – a Nokia tablet. Let’s hope that there would be a lot more surprises at MWC that will make up for this decision of Nokia and stop our breath.
