Nokia will announce a new device on 28th August in Moscow, Russia
Nokia has said that it would be making major announcements every quarter of this year and we may already know the time and place for the next such announcement. Recently from Nokia have sent out press invites for their next event and it will take place in Jagger Hall, Moscow, Russia on 28th August and on the invite says in Russian “Worldwide Premiere”.
The most exciting thing to this invite is that we have no idea what it might feature. There is information that Nokia may be announcing a new smartphone device but it seems unlikely to us, although, it is quite possible. For now the rumors around Nokia are more focused on the Windows RT tablet that will not be coming until October so a September event would make much more sense for such announcement. So, there is still no candidate for the 28th August event.
If we are to take a look at the issue from smartphone side of view the Nokia Lumia 729 is still to be announced, however, it is presumed to be a Verizon device and it makes absolutely no sense to announce it in Russia.
On the third side there is the rumored Nokia phablet but it is set for November so it is probably out of this race for the event.
We are not certain that a major new smartphone device will be released but rather a mid-range regional one and still this Worldwide Premiere that is said on the poster is implying something.
Overall, we may conclude that there is not much to say for now and we will be expecting future information or leaks pointing to the event and what it would present to the public. We are certain that it will be something worth seeing and we are excited to see what will they announce from Nokia.
