Nokia Sirius coming to us soon now we see a picture of it
Well, well, we were just starting to see the smartphones take over the tech news and now it seems tablets are coming our way. Except the expected new iPad there are a lot of new tablets coming our way. Soon information suggests that Nokia will reveal the new Nokia new Windows RT tablet for now called by its codename – Sirius.
The new tablet along with the phablet, Nokia Lumia 1520, codenamed Bandit are said to appear at an event planned for later this month. But while we wait we stumbled upon a picture of it and much more info around it and we are now going to share this with you.
The specs for now are the ones that have already leaked once – a 1920×1080 display 10.1-inch, with a Snapdragon 800, 2GB of RAM. The rear camera spec has been changed a bit from 6MP to 6.7MP with 10 hours of battery life, and running Windows RT.
The price is still expected to be $499, which is annoyingly high for an RT device, especially since we’re seeing full Windows 8.1 hybrids clocking in at $349.
The more interesting part about the tablet is its cover. It is expected that it will have additional battery and will serve in two ways – like cover (the obvious) and like keyboard. This sounds a lot like the Power Cover rumor that was twisted around recently about the Surface tablet.
Our worry, though, is that the tablet is already weighing at 590g (1.3 pounds for the imperial units’ guys) and we are hoping that the cover will not add much weight to the whole thing because it becomes quite bulky even for a tablet. The rumored Power Cover may almost double the expected weight. Nevertheless, we are expecting the device excitedly.
