Nokia Rebranding with the Ike Logo for MixRadio
Aficionados of Nokia can now welcome a Nokia rebranding of its streaming service for popular music to MixRadio. The company now enjoys a branding icon which is called Ike and it is the product of the joint work of Design Studio together with Nokia, to bring out the new logo representing a headphone shaped smiley device. The goal in the course of the design work was to come up with a fresh and youthful image, replete with fun, and also a novel image which features a truly authentic air.
The reactions of users to the new logo were not uniform, and it was met with mixed feelings. The reason was the general opinion that there was not sufficient care taken to craft the end result – the logo. It is true that the two companies have had periods of collaboration in the past as well, and it is not the first time they have created a joint design. In this case, Nokia suggested the use of the smiley face together with the headphone icons, to conform to the general phone themed idea and add the idea of listening to music galore.
The new icon, Ike, is the epitome of emotions which are sent out from Nokia MixRadio. There was a new wordmark designed with painstaking concentration, and the two were combined to form the fresh new logo. Ike is a logo that can be implemented on all kinds of textures and can be used in a lot of media – thus it conforms to the requirements for the branding of modern products and services.
Many users are pleased to agree that the new design, as stated by Design Studio, is easily implemented into animation, which is a definite advantage, and it exudes a lot of warmth and human feelings, lots of fun which are an upside of Ike.
