Are you eager to see the Nokia Lumia Icon aka Lumia 929 finally goes official in the mobile world? The waiting is coming to an end according to the most recent leak. Two days ago Nokia launched a teaser for the announcement of the Lumia Icon named “Have you heard what’s coming?”. It made the hint that the debut of the model should happen sooner than later. One of the previous rumors suggested that the high-end smartphone running on Windows Phone will arrive either on 5th of February or on 5th of March.
The expected event did not happen on 5th February. The new rumors reveal the 20th of February as the possible date for the launching of the Lumia Icon. It is backed up by a leak with internal document from Verizon. It reveals that the new device will land on the store shelves of the carrier on 19th of February (Wednesday). One day after that the company will release accessories for Lumia Icon. This is the date (20th of February) since when the phone will be available for purchase. Thanks to the guys from WPCentral we can share the rumor that the new high-end smartphone by Nokia will be announced for pre-orders this week with the date 12th of February pointed as the most possible time for the debut of the Lumia Icon. Users who are planning to pre-order the much wanted model should keep in mind that it will cost $50 for deposit.
Nokia Lumia Icon borrows a lot of the specs and capabilities of the advanced phablet Nokia Lumia 1520. It feature more compact body with a 5-inch screen AMOLED with 1080p resolution. In the heart of the smartphone is ticking a quad-core processor with Snapdragon 800 chipset and 2GB RAM. The operating system that powers the device is Windows Phone 8 the GDR3 upgrade. One of the most fascinating features of Lumia Icon is its 20MP camera, similar to what we see in Nokia Lumia 1520.
