Nokia is ready to make big announcements for large-sized devices in the end of Sept
Those of you who are fans of Nokia and have a thing for phablets perhaps already know the rumors for the upcoming large-sized smarthphone Nokia Bandit. The new high-end device was scheduled for the end of the year, according to the previous rumors. Now a report shared by Reuters brings more light on the future plans of Nokia. It seems that the mobile giant is planning a big event in New York scheduled for the end of September. The expectations for the event are to bring the new phablet by Nokia, known with the codename Bandit along with other high-end large-sized devices.. The information about the hybrid between tablet and phone is limited. It is known that Nokia is already working on developing a new Windows Phone smartphone.
The upcoming Bandit will sport a 6-inches screen with a 1080p. The high-end plus-size device will feature at least a 20MP camera. According to sources the phablet will work with a quad-core CPU under the hood. Nokia Bandit will be “dressed” in a stylish body made of polycarbonate. The latest speculations on the topic suggest that the new device will be offered by AT&T carrier in the US.
The new report revealed by Reuters makes a hint for several new large-sized phones by Nokia coming up in September (perhaps they going to be announced at the big event). This is all we know so far about the new phablets. The logic leads to the conclusion that the launch dates of the new smartphones might be in October which is almost a month earlier than the first predictions on the topic.
The middle of October is promising to be a very eventful time for Microsoft with the launching of the update Windows 8.1 and the GD3 update for Windows Phone OS. Rumors say that GD3 will arrive with a support for 1080p resolution which means that this time of the year would be the perfect for Nokia to release a large-sized Windows Phone smartphone. Another anticipated device by the company is Nokia Windows RT tablet. It is expected to hit the markets in the fall. Let’s not forget the big mystery that should be solved in a few days – what is Nokia preparing for us to release in the big event in Moscow in less than a week?
