Nokia Camera app beta version for mid-range Lumias
Nokia Camera app will be compatible with mid-range and entry-level Lumia phones
You have probably seen the Nokia Camera app pointed as an advantage in the latest high-end Lumia devices. Have you ever wondered what the features of the improved app are? Let’s say that it blends in one the best from the Smart Camera app and the Pro Camera. Until now that exceptional application was available only for the most advanced models of Nokia.
Fortunately this is about to change. Nokia has announced that a beta version of the app is already available for the low-end and middle-range models of the Lumia line. The company has released a list with the most popular devices that will support the Nokia Camera app. The important requrment for those that want to try the beta version is to upgrade their phones with Nokia Amber or Nokia Black. So, if you have already done this with your Lumia phone of any of the following models: Nokia Lumia 822, Lumia 820, Lumia 520, Lumia 521, Lumia 620 and Lumia 625. The beta version provides some of the features that will be integrated in the official Nokia Camera app for low-end phones. Therefore bugs and some issues with the functionality of the app should be expected. The plans of Nokia include integrating of the new app with the ordinary app once the official version is ready for launching.
The Nokia Black update of the software provides support for DNG for the high-end Nokia Lumia 1020 and Nokia Lumia 1520. Another capability assured in the update is the launching of the camera app from the lockscreen even if there is a PIN lock. Are you eager to try the beta of the Nokia camera app?
