New rumors suggest that Nike is working on a smartwatch to be launched in 2014
The smartwatches and the wearable techs are the next hot things in the digit world that will be developing rapidly in the upcoming year. The pioneers on the market Pebble, Samsung, Sony and Qualcomm have already released the first generations advanced timepieces with a lot of capabilities. The current models give an idea of what the smartwatches will be capable to. Nike has already released a tech accessory that reminds to a bracelet with a watch on it – FuelBand. According to DigiTimes the company is working on a smartwatch. The sources of the information are supply chains of Nike. According to them the company is planning to launch the advanced timepiece in first half of the next year. The published report claims that the new device is “currently under trial production at EMS firm Flextronics International,” however no additional information is unveiled about the features and the capabilities of the smartwatch. The expectations about the new addition to the world of wearable techs are to arrive with apps and vast compatibility with different platforms.
