Nexus premium accessories now available in more markets
The wireless charge supports only Google Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 from 2013
Recently Google announced two new premium accessories for its latest Nexus devices; however their availability is limited as the items can be found only in selected markets.
Starting with the Nexus Wireless Charger, we first saw the device in October last year alongside with the announcement of Google Nexus 5. In all, the accessory is pretty much a remake of the wireless charger for Google Nexus 4, though this one has been designed to lay on flat surfaces in comparison to the previous one that was semi-orb shaped. The new charger still uses the Qi wireless charging standard, but according to the advertisement, the item supports only Google Nexus 4, Google Nexus 5 and Google Nexus 7 from 2013. At least that’s what’s official.
The other item is welcomed by owners of both Nexus 7 models and it represents a neoprene sleeve. The accessory has been tailored with padding and microfiber fur lining which protects the Nexus tablet perfectly. It’s been designed with an asymmetrical zip that enables it to be easily pulled out from the device. In the meantime, the neoprene sleeve includes an outer pocket where owners of Nexus 7 can put all the needed accessories such as headphones, the charger and etc. The sleeve is available in four color options, including black, red, yellow and grey.
Apparently, the two Nexus premium accessories have already launched in some markets and now they’re about to arrive to more areas. For example, the Nexus Wireless Charger that used to be available in the US for $49.99 now arrives to Australia, Korea, Japan and India as well. As for the Nexus 7 sleeve, the item is now available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, India, Korea, Japan and the US for $29.99.
