New leak gives a clue for the existence of ASUS Nexus 10
The next weeks will be rather busy for Google with the upcoming Nexus 5 and Nexus 10 tablet. The latest rumors about the smartphone more and more hint that LG will manufacture the device. The speculations on the tablets’ front suggest that ASUS will be the company behind Nexus 10 tablet. One of the recent leaks that somehow confirmed the rumors consisted of the inventory of a UK online retailer where the device “GOOGLE ASUS NEXUS 10” was mentioned along with the price tag of £349.99 (equal to $564 USD).
ASUS and Google already have a successful partnership behind their backs in the releasing of Nexus 7 tablet. The 7-inches slate was warmly welcomed by users who enjoy the full HD display and the whole package of high-end specs coming at competitive price. The information about the ASUS Nexus 10 is very limited. We can only guess that the upcoming model will be based on one of the successful tablets by ASUS, the Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T. The device comes with 10-inches screen with the amazing resolution of 2560x1600p and the impressive 300ppi. It works with the IGZO technology used for the screen that improves the power efficiency for up to 13 hours battery life with a single charge. The high-end tablet works with quad-core processor with Tegra 4 chipset and 2GB RAM. It assures 32GB storage on board. The Transformer Pad Infinity TF701T is equipped with two cameras. It runs on Android OS.
The new ASUS tablet will cost around $400. We can use this price for an idea what the costs for ASUS Nexus 10 would be. As always, the increasing number of leaks is a sure sign that we will see soon the new generation Nexus 10. Google announced the original model almost a year ago, so it is about time. The possibility of 300ppi pixel density of the full HD display is truly awesome. Do you agree with us?
