Motorola ATRIX 2 getting a soak test

Those who own this handset may have been concerned about being able to update it to Android 4.0. These seem to be over!

Things have changed drastically, following rumors that started circulating on Tuesday, saying that the Motorola ATRIX 2 was the subject of a Motorola soak test. Why is this so important? For those not familiar with this, a soak test is when Motorola asks for a small number of device owners to test a new update.

And indeed, the leaked screenshot shows that the soak test for the Motorola ATRIX 2 does appear to be related to the Android 4.0 update, Android 4.0.4 to be precise.

Now we wonder about Motorola’s intentions for the original Motorola ATRIX 4G and the Motorola PHOTON 4G, both of which were also listed by the manufacturer as having “further plans coming soon”.
