Microsoft improving Surface Pro’s 2 battery life
Good news for the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, according to a new leaked report that was published on Saturday new firmware update is now on the device that would make the battery life longer. But let’s not talk vaguely the figures tell us that before the update the tablet, showing off with the newest Windows 8.1 Pro, could only last 6.6 hours of browsing and 6.65 of video playing. However, now, after the update kicked in the times are considerably improved to 8.3 hours for browsers and 7.73 hours for videos.
This update was undeniably needed as Microsoft admits the tablet really has a couple of things that demand the necessary amount of battery power like the higher resolution display, active digitizer and capacitive touch and it is great that finally the device has received an adequate update. Now that the update is official, the device scores higher than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, the Microsoft Surface 2 and Google Nexus 10, when it comes to measuring battery life while browsing. When it comes to video viewing we can safely say that the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 tops the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.
The update is great news for all Microsoft fans and will, without a doubt make the life easier of all the people that rely on their Surface tablet to last them through the whole day. Maybe Microsoft has taken into account what most of the tablet users desire the most. Are we to expect more updates coming our way just before the launch of the new Apple tablets?
For now we will have to settle with the current update and expect more coming our way. After Microsoft wrote off so many Surface slates, we can imagine that this time around the company would really want their product making huge sales.
