Microsoft hiring a developer, planning to unify Windows 8 and Windows Phone
It was a bit sad that Microsoft of all companies was the keenest supporter of the NIH philosophy, for which is to blame Steven Sinofsky, the former Windows Division Head at Microsoft. It seems, however, that his successor is more open-minded and is not afraid to start a new project, aiming to combine the markets for Windows Phone and Windows 8, which was expected, but didn’t happen before. So, we are expecting to see Windows on Arm apps working on Windows Phone and the other way round very soon.
These expectations are supported with the new position for a developer, offered by Microsoft. A new job post states that the company is looking to hire a new SD Engineer in Test and asks everybody who creates apps either for Windows 8 or Windows Phone should apply and try to receive the opportunity to see his apps working seamlessly on both systems.
We still do not know whether this project aims to affect Blue or the work will continue till 2014, but either way it is quite interesting possibility. We will follow the case and let you know of further updates.
