Lumia 1520 revealed ahead of the Nokia event tomorrow, priced at $820
Just hours before the Nokia world event in Abu Dhabi on October 22, Nokia China has opened a pre-order page for the new 6-inch phablet Nokia Lumia 1520. This is the first official confirmation of the device coming directly from the Finish giant. The new model is priced at $820 which is a bit too much. If you live in China and place your pre-order now you will be charged with $16 as a deposit.
Nokia has also confirmed most of the specifications of the Lumia 1520 that have been circulating on the web for quite a while. According to the webpage, the smartphone includes a 6-inch super sensitive display with 1080p resolution. The processor is a super-fast quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. There’s a 20MP camera at the rear capturing two images simultaneously – 16 MP for editing and 5 MP for sharing. The camera has an improved PureView imaging technology with lossless zoom, face detection and high-quality pictures.
Other specs found on the Lumia 1520 but still not confirmed officially are the 2 GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB of internal storage and Qi wireless charging. The phone will be launched in yellow, black and white though more color options are expected globally. In other news was said the phone is likely to be heading to AT&T in the US, priced at $700 off contract.
Anyway, we should wait one more day to find out everything about this and other new models which are expected to be announced tomorrow. Nokia is set to announce at least four new smartphones, a tablet and a laptop. Among the new phones are the Lumia 1520, a new low end device with a large screen and Lumia 929 /1320
